Raquel Maragh is a Corporate Associate specializing in mergers, acquisitions, corporate finance, and general business law. With a broad legal background, Raquel has advised a variety of private-sector clients, including financial institutions, private equity firms, and operating businesses. Raquel has significant experience in guiding clients through complex business transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, equity investments, and capital market transactions.
In addition to corporate law, Raquel brings a unique perspective from her experience as the Founder and Managing Director of two commercial early childhood education centers in Brooklyn, New York, where she oversaw all aspects of operations for five years. Raquel managed the financial health of the business, including budgeting and financial planning, negotiated vendor contracts, hired and supervised staff, and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements. This hands-on experience in business management strengthens Raquel’s ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients, understanding the nuances of entrepreneurship and operational challenges.
Earlier in her legal career, Raquel worked as Legal Counsel at Fifth Third Bank, advising on derivatives transactions and capital markets, and at Sheppard Mullin and Dinsmore & Shohl, where she managed due diligence, drafted transaction documents, and worked on mergers and acquisitions.
While in law school, Raquel founded the First-Generation Professional Student Organization at Washington University School of Law, which created an emergency fund for students facing unexpected financial challenges. This initiative, which is now embedded in the bylaws of the Student Bar Association, reinforced Raquel’s leadership and commitment to promoting access and inclusion within the legal field.

Raquel received her B.A. (majoring in Law & Society and Political Science) in 2016 from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with Honors in Major and Magna Cum Laude. She received her J.D. in 2020 from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, a top twenty law school.
